I hosted a dinner tonight for some people from church. It was the first time I've cooked a main course for more than 3 people! The name of the small group is "Dinner for 8" and for the coming year, the eight of us eat together at a different house each month. Everyone brings something to share. It was quite fun! And I got to bust out my new Dance Dance Revolution dance pads and game! Everyone had a blast. I love that game so much!
Everything went great at church today. Most of the kids who are under the age of 10 don't receive communion yet - and instead they come up to the altar and receive a blessing. This morning a little 4-year-old who is usually quite shy and hesitant looked me right in the eyes with a great big smile on her face as I put my hand on her head and said, "May you remember today and everyday that God loves you very much." It was one of my favorite ministry moments.

What a nice blessing Emily. Yesterday we visited Keith's church and Sophie was blessed by him, it was wonderful :)
