Advent in Your Everyday: Day #25

Today's Photo: "Handmade Love on a Tree"

“Let your light scatter the darkness, and shine within your people here.”
- from Holden Evening Prayer

shine
, verb. “to give forth or glow with a light”

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Can you believe it? Today is the last day of our "Advent in Your Everyday" journey. Thank you so much for being part of these last few weeks. I hope that the experience has prepared your heart and mind for the Christmas celebration.

Today, let's spend some time thinking about the word "shine." The love of God shines into our lives each day; oftentimes God's love comes into our lives through our encounters with friends and family members, other times it's through blogs and books. In the past year, where are the places you've experienced the Creator's love shining into your life?

You are a light that shines. Where have you shined most brightly? What experiences have brought out your "inner" twinkle in 2009? How can you incorporate more of these opportunities to shine in your daily routines?

Thanks be to God for all the people, places, and experiences that help us to shine with holy love and light!
