Yesterday a friend and I visited the Rochester Arts Center! What a great place. I had been there earlier this fall with my mom when I won two free tickets to an "Artini" event. There is a new exhibit there now called "Tectonic Industries." It was unique.
I learned that the goal of contemporary art is not necessarily to "be understood." It is to "be experienced." I left our time at the exhibit feeling inspired and confused - which I believe is pretty much the goal.
