Signs of Hope

Last Wednesday night, our topic for confirmation was "The Prophets." Together, we explored several of the Old Testament prophets - and we discussed what it means to be modern day prophets.

Prophets are people who use their unique gifts and abilities to share God's message with the world. Prophets are called and chosen by God.

I reminded the 7th and 8th graders that they are each called and chosen by God to be prophets in the world.  They each have a light that shines and a message of love to share.

Then in small groups, they created posters.  On the poster is their prophetic message for the world. I invited them to think about what they would most want all 7 billion people on the planet to know.
