Short post. Its 10:37pm and I am ready for bed.
My count tanked to 6. Had a date with the Infusion Therapy Center and Anna. We didn't get to go to the concert....but there was plenty of excitement.
I had an allergic reaction to the platelets. It was scary. Red-hot, itchy ears. Hives. A swollen bottom lip. And my chest got really tight. Thankfully Anna was there and tried to keep me distracted. But it was pretty scary for me...my worst transfusion fears.
Then I got Benadryl through the iv. It helped. They had to stop the tranfusion altogether. I got about 3/4 of the bag.
Hoping for brighter days.
Grateful Anna was there with you. Can't imagine how scary it must have been. Prayers for better days ahead.
